These are the Minutes of the 163rd AMCC meeting held at the Belvedere Guest House in Fire Island, NY on Saturday, May 22, 2010 during Excelsior MC’s 35th Anniversary run. CALL TO ORDER President Steven James called the meeting to order at 2:06 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Bucks MC, DC boys of Leather, Empire City MC, Excelsior MC, Harbor Masters of Maine, Iron Guard BC, Long Island Ravens MC, NE Pennsylvania Leathermen, Pennsmen, Philadelphians MC, Pocono Warriors, Reading Railmen, ShipMates Club of Baltimore, Twilight Guard Proxy: COMMAND MC (to DC boys of Leather), DC Bear Club (to Philadelphians MC), Entre Nous, Inc. (to Harbor Masters of Maine), Potomac MC (to ShipMates Club of Baltimore), SNC London (to AMCC President) Absent: Centaur MC, Highwaymen TNT, Knight Hawks of Virginia, Spartan MC, Stars MC, TBLC of Virginia Quorum was present. Guests: None MINUTES A proposal to accept the Minutes of the 162nd meeting was moved by Harbor Masters of Main and 2nd by Twilight Guard -motion passed. OFFICERS’ REPORTS Secretary’s report: The Secretary passed out AMCC packets (minutes of the 162nd meeting, 2010 sanction calendar and agenda for the 163rd meeting). Updates to the AMCC contact list/roster and 2010 Sanction calendar were solicited from the membership. All member Clubs were thanked for their responses to the annual certification mailing; all but 5 member Club have responded. Secretary will make another attempt to gather the remaining certifications prior to the 164th meeting at Olympia. Treasurer’s report: The Treasurer indicated that as of 4/30/10, Council had a cash balance of $1,966.84. Reminder made to member clubs that AMCC patches were available for purchase at $3.00 a piece. There is a small surplus of 40th Anniversary pins; Treasurer will make a distribution to those Clubs that have grown since original distribution, according to 2010 annual certifications. Vice President’s report: The Vice President advised there was one request made for the 166th meeting that would be voted on later in the meeting. A request was made for any additions to the non-sanctioned calendar. President’s report: Welcomed all and expressed his thanks to everyone for being in Fire Island to support Excelsior MC’s 35th Anniversary. COMMITTEE REPORTS Outreach Committee: The Committee continues to keep in contact, or initiate contact, with other clubs who might wish to enter Council, as well as supporting existing member clubs that need assistance. Invitations will be extended to two organizations that have expressed interest in learning more about Council (Onyx-DC and the Keystone boys of Leather); both will be invited as guests to the 164th meeting at Olympia. Some topics for the committee meeting at Olympia will include creating a forum for member Clubs to discuss issues they’ve encountered in their respective Clubs as well as considering universal themed bar night/events in our own respective SMSA’s to promote brotherhood, gear, fetish…etc. Committee will talk with Webmaster before Olympia about putting a committee of volunteers together to discuss refreshing the AMCC Website. A number of member Clubs offered their assistance: Harbor Masters of Maine, Twilight Guard, Long Island Ravens MC and Philadelphians MC. A recommendation was made to hold the 2010 AMCC All Club Bar Night on 10/2/10 in Scranton, PA - hosted by the NE PA Leathermen. Motioned by the Long Island Ravens MC, 2nd by the Pennsmen – motion passed. Historian’s Committee: no report. Web Committee: no report. OLD BUSINESS Amendments and Additions to the sanction calendar – see back page for bolded updates. NEW BUSINESS Location of the 164th and subsequent meetings -The 164th meeting of the AMCC will be hosted by Centaur MC and held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Olympia XXI over Labor Day weekend. -The 165th meeting of the AMCC will be hosted by C.O.M.M.A.N.D. MC and held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 during their 22nd Anniversary run in Baltimore, MD. -The 166th meeting of the AMCC will be hosted by the Pennsmen and held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 during their run in Harrisburg, PA. It was noted that requests for the 167th meeting should be submitted in writing no later than 30 days prior the 166th meeting. CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS Bucks MC congratulated Excelsior MC on their 35th Anniversary and for a beautiful weekend. Santa Saturday 2010 will be held in Asbury Park the Saturday after Thanksgiving, book your hotel now! DC Boys of Leather congratulated Excelsior MC on their 35th anniversary. Boy’s night out at the DC Eagle is the 1st Thursday of every month. Empire City MC congratulated Excelsior and thanked them for a great weekend. Invited all to Bike Christening event @ Ty’s in NYC at 7:00 p.m. on 6/4/10. Biker’s Picnic will be in Flemington, NJ on 6/5/10. Excelsior MC thanked all and hoped everyone was enjoying the food. Dinner will be served @ 7:30 p.m., reminded all of cocktail party at 3:30 p.m. hosted a 7 Ivy Walk and pre-dinner cocktail hosted by the Pennsmen & the Belvedere Naked Waiters. Harbor Masters congratulated Excelsior on another fabulous weekend. Reminded all of their co-sponsored run in celebration of Entre Nous’s 40th Anniversary/Harbor Masters’ 28th Anniversary - “Sailaway & Pilgrimage 2010” will be held in Ogunquit, ME the weekend of 10/22-10/24/10. Iron Guard BC congratulated Excelsior MC on 35th Anniversary. Long Island Ravens MC congratulated Excelsior MC and thanked them for a great weekend. White Party at the LI Eagle on 6/17/10. The LI Ravens will be at Hillside Campground for Motorcycle/Leather and Mr. Hillside Leather contest weekend 7/16-7/18 NE Pennsylvania Leathermen offered congratulations to Excelsior MC. And will be hosting the Mr. Hillside Leather Meet & Greet party @ Hillside during Leather/Motorcycle weekend from 1:30-4:00 p.m. Pennsmen congratulated and thanks Excelsior MC. Philadelphians MC congratulated Excelsior and asked all to visit the Tri-Cen XX website www.tricen20.com Pocono Warriors congratulated Excelsior on 35 years and asked all to remember 100 Men in the Woods @ Camp Oneida on 8/6-8/8. Reading Railmen congratulated and thanked Excelsior for such a great location and weekend. ShipMates congratulated on 35. The Annual Daddy Christmas in July fundraiser/cookout will be at the Baltimore Eagle on 7/11/10 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Twilight Guard congratulated to Excelsior MC. Club socials are the second Saturday of every month @ Triangles in Danbury, CT. Annual Swap n’ Shop is scheduled for 10/9/10 GOOD & WELFARE Sandy Steever of Twilight Guard thanked the AMCC member Clubs for all of the kind messages, cards and concern shown to his fellow members on the passing of their brother, Craig Nolan. A number of Clubs shared stories of Craig in celebration of his life. AMCC President reported on his trip to CLAW as well as his participation in the SECC meeting. Long Island Ravens asked all member Clubs to keep their member and past AMCC President, AL Lawrence in their thoughts and prayers. Reading Railmen reported a website domain issue and advised they were looking into resolving the issue - in the event anyone had an issue contacting the Club. SANCTION CALENDAR – 2010 Additions and changes to the 2010 sanction calendar were solicited from the membership Pennsmen made a recommendation to accept the updated 2010 AMCC sanction calendar, 2nd by Shipmates Club of Baltimore – motion passed. ADJOURNMENT Long Island Ravens MC made a motion to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Reading Railmen -motion passed. The meeting closed at 2:42 pm.
