These are the Minutes of the 162nd AMCC meeting held in Philadelphia on Saturday, January 2, 2010, during Tri-Cen XIX, the Philadelphians MC’s 35th Anniversary run. CALL TO ORDER President Steven James called the meeting to order at 1:06 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Bucks MC, Centaur MC, COMMAND MC, DC Bear Club, DC boys of Leather, Empire City MC, Excelsior MC, Highwaymen TNT, Iron Guard BC, Knight Hawks of Virginia, NE Pennsylvania Leathermen, Pennsmen, Philadelphians MC, Pocono Warriors, Reading Railmen, ShipMates Club of Baltimore, Spartan MC, TBLC of Virginia, Twilight Guard Proxy: Entre Nous Inc. (to ShipMates Club of Baltimore), Long Island Ravens MC (to Twilight Guard), SNC London (to AMCC President) Absent: Harbor Masters, Potomac MC, STARS MC Quorum was present. Guests: None MINUTES A proposal to accept the Minutes of the 161st meeting was moved by Twilight Guard and 2nd by Empire City MC -motion passed. OFFICERS’ REPORTS Secretary’s report: The Secretary passed out AMCC packets (minutes of the 161st meeting, 2010 sanction calendar and agenda for the 162nd meeting). Updates to the AMCC contact list/roster and 2010 Sanction calendar were solicited from the membership. Timing of the annual request for updates to the Club President/AMCC Rep list, the annual Club certifications as well as the SMSA Geographic/Metropolitan area will be sent in writing to each member Club. Treasurer’s report: The Treasurer indicated that as of 11/30/09, Council had a cash balance of $2,174.44. Reminder made to member clubs that AMCC patches were available at $3.00 a piece (20 patches were available for purchase). Vice President’s report: The Vice President advised previous two requests to host 164th and 165th AMCC meetings would be voted on later in the meeting. A request was made for any additions to the non-sanctioned calendar. President’s report: Welcomed all and expressed well wishes to entire Council for a Happy New Year. The Philadelphians MC were thanked for hosting today’s meeting and for their “sharing” of Brotherly Love. Looking forward to new changes and a successful, prosperous new year. COMMITTEE REPORTS Outreach Committee: The Committee continues to keep in contact, or initiate contact, with other clubs who might wish to enter Council, as well as supporting existing member clubs that need assistance. Committee is investigating the creation of a Facebook page for the AMCC as a vehicle to get communication distributed in a timely manner. Committee asked Council to continue to provide updates for the Resource Page on the AMCC website. A host site for the 2010 AMCC All Club Bar Night will be determined in Fire Island. Historian’s Committee: no report. Web Committee: The Web Master offered no report at this time. OLD BUSINESS Amendments and Additions to the sanction calendar It was noted that J.P. of the Centaur MC is the identified Resident Agent for the AMCC. Secretary noted updates to sanction calendar would be asked for later in the meeting. NEW BUSINESS Location of the 163rd and subsequent meetings The 163rd meeting of the AMCC will be hosted by Excelsior MC and held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 during their 35th Anniversary celebration/run on Fire Island, NY. The 164th meeting of the AMCC will be hosted by Centaur MC and held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Olympia XXI over Labor Day weekend. The 165th meeting of the AMCC will be hosted by COMMAND MC and held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 during their 22nd Anniversary run in Baltimore, MD. It was noted that requests for the 166th meeting should be submitted in writing no later than 30 days prior the 165th meeting. AMCC – 2009 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE Nominations were submitted from the floor as follows: Philadelphians MC “Living Nativity” – as seen on YouTube – December 2009, Bike Stop - nominated by Twilight Guard Long Island Ravens MC “Silent Auction”- March 2009, Anniversary Run banquet – nominated by the Philadelphians MC After a vote by Council, the 2009 Winner is – Long Island Ravens MC. CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS AND (GOOD & WELFARE) Bucks MC congratulated Philadelphians MC on 35 years. Thanks to all who came to Santa Saturday, your support helps us make significant change in peoples’ lives. Thanks also to auctioneer Jo Arnold (auctioneer) and condolences to Jo Ann W. Centaur MC congratulated the Philadelphians MC and asked that everyone remember MAL. COMMAND MC announced CLAP (Chesapeake Leather Awareness Pride) weekend and Leather Sir Contest. DCBC congratulations on 35 years to the Philadelphians MC. DC boys of Leather congratulated Philadelphians MC on their 35th anniversary. Boy’s night out at the DC Eagle is the 1st Thursday of every month. Empire City MC asked for help in supporting the Rochester Rams 40th anniversary event to be announced in Feb 2010. Invited all to attend Manchester Bear Club weekend 4/29 – 5/3 and reminded all of NY Bear Den event every 2nd Sunday of the month in NYC. Excelsior MC congratulated on 35th Anniversary and thanked all for such a great time. Reminded all of 35th Anniversary run on Fire Island, 5/21-5/23/10. Highwaymen TNT congratulations and thank you. Hot Jock contest 2nd Wednesday of every month @ DC Eagle. Reminder that members of Highwaymen TNT are going to LUEY weekend again this year (2/18-2/21) and extended offer to any Club interested in joining them. Iron Guard BC congratulated the Philadelphians MC. Knight Hawks of Virginia offered thanks for a great weekend. NE Pennsylvania Leathermen offered congratulations to Philadelphians MC. Reminder to all that their 13th Anniversary Run is 4/16-4/18. Pennsmen congratulated on Philadelphians MC 35th anniversary. Planning is well underway for their 6/4-6/6 run @ The Woods Campground. Philadelphians MC thanked everyone for coming to Philadelphia and asked all to check the website for 2010 social calendar of events. Pocono Warriors (Jack) remarked that after 2 years, this was his 1st Tri-Cen and was having a great time and asked all to remember 100 Men in the Woods @ Camp Oneida on 8/6-8/8. Reading Railmen congratulated Philadelphians MC on 35 years and reminded all that charity calendars are for sale by Mr. Reading Leather and are benefiting the Reading Railmen’s AIDS fund. ShipMates congratulated and thanked the Philadelphians MC for hosting. Invited all to 36th anniversary in April. Spartan MC shared their well wishes and congratulations on 35 years. TBLC congratulations on 35 and invited all to “Deliverance” camp out this summer. Twilight Guard congratulated Philadelphians on 35 wonderful years. Club socials are the second Saturday of every month @ Triangles in Danbury, CT. SANCTION CALENDAR – 2010 Dates were solicited from membership to set up the 2010 sanction calendar. Highwaymen TNT made a motion to accept 2010 AMCC sanction calendar, 2nd by Spartan MC – motion passed. ADJOURNMENT Spartan MC made a motion to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Twilight Guard motion passed. The meeting closed at 2:08 pm.
